Step into the shadows of historic Terrell, Texas. 

This is not a haunted house with jump scares—this is a journey into the true, darkened past of our city.  Walk the streets and alleyways where history refuses to die.

Our paranormal investigators will weave together the documented haunted experiences and their own personal accounts of the paranormal. 

You will hear the tales of the spirits that linger in the Brin Opera House, the tragic accidents that left a mark on the town, and the stories that locals whisper about but rarely speak aloud.

Pure Storytelling: Perfect for history buffs, skeptics, and those who love a good ghost story without the pressure of an investigation.

Family Friendly: A spooky but safe environment suitable for families and children ages 10+ (Parental discretion advised).

Atmospheric: Experience the historic downtown at night, seeing the architecture in a new, eerie light.

Schedule:  Offered the last Saturday of each month. Tours start at 7 PM Oct - Feb.  Tours start at 8 PM March - Sept.

Duration: Approximately 90 minutes.

Walking Distance: Less than 1 mile (Leisurely pace, wheelchair accessible).

Group Size:   The number of guests varies each night. It could be a small group or up to 20 guests. We'll ensure you hear every whisper and don't miss a thing.

Pet Friendly: Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to join the walk.  Please follow our doggone policies or you may not be permitted to bring your pooch.

Stearman Kaydet PT 17 Biplane

This mural is dedicated to the No. 1 British Flying Training School (BFTS) located here in Terrell.  The flight training school was established in 1941 to train British flyers who due to the Nazi blitz, could not train in England.  The school operated until the end of WWII in 1945. 

Meeting Point: Corner of Moore Avenue and Frances Street. American National Bank Parking Lot (Across the Street from the Iris Marquee). Closest physical address: 209 East Moore Avenue, Terrell, Texas 75160.

Check-in: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.

Weather: We walk in current weather conditions.  Please dress for that evening's forecast.  Bring an umbrella, if necessary.

Capture the Paranormal Contest


The ghosts of Terrell aren't shy. If you catch one on camera, we want to see it.


The contest takes place from May to October. Photos taken outside of these months can be submitted during any of the active months.


 How to Enter:

  1. Take photos during your tour.


  3. Post your best evidence on Facebook or Instagram.


  5. Tag @HistoricTerrellGhostWalks and use  #TerrellGhosts.


  7. The Prize: Each month, the best capture wins a prize from several possibilities:

    1. A free T-shirt

    3. A complimentary Ghost Walk ticket

Our page followers determine the contest winner's photo.  As a general rule, Terrell Ghosts Team Members do not comment on guest's photos.



📸 Pro Photography Tips for Ghost Hunters:

  • The Rule of Three: Don’t just take one photo. Take three in rapid succession. If an anomaly moves or changes shape between frames, it’s more likely to be paranormal.


  • Watch Your Breath: In cold weather, hold your breath while taking the shot to avoid capturing your own condensation (which looks like "ectoplasm").


  • No Flash is Best: Flash reflects off dust and bugs (creating "orbs"). Try using "Night Mode" or a low ISO setting to capture natural shadows.


  • Live Photos: If you have an iPhone, turn on "Live Photos." You might catch a shadow figure moving just before or after the shutter clicked.

We encourage guests to bring their own tech. Here are a few apps we recommend downloading before you arrive:

  • GhostTube Original  Uses your phone's environmental sensors to measure fluctuations in the environment

  • GhostTube SLS   Detects humanoid bodies in your environment similar to the Kinect SLS cameras used by real paranormal investigators.
Tip: Make sure your battery is 100% charged. Spirits are known to drain batteries!
