Ghost Stories of Haunted Terrell and a Building on the Terrell Ghost Walk

Welcome back to "You can't make this shit up" with Laurie from the Terrell Ghosts office!

In this installment, Laurie shares a spooky and recurring experience that happens right in their 140-year-old building. While in the second-floor women's restroom, she (and others!) frequently hear the distinct, loud SLAM of the heavy, solid wood door from the men's restroom next door.

But here's the mystery: every time she checks, the men's restroom door is wide open, and there's nobody there.

Is it one of their friendly resident ghosts just saying hello? Or something just passing through? When you're in a building this old, you're never really alone.

Maybe on your next visit, you'll hear the phantom bathroom door slam for yourself!

Hey, Laurie here and I'm at the Terrell Ghosts office, uh ready to give you my second installment of, "You can't make this shit up." Uh one of the things that happens to me pretty regularly when I'm here in the building is I hear a phantom door slam. Um and it's not just me, other people have heard it too, so it's not just me being crazy, which, you know, could be, but other people have heard it too. Um this happens when I am in the women's restroom. So, on the second floor where we're located, the restroom is just catty-corner right across from our office door. So, if I go into the women's restroom, take care of my business, and then I'm standing at the sink washing my hands, inevitably, I will hear a slamming door right behind the women's restroom, which is the men's restroom. And these doors that are on these restrooms are very heavy, solid wood, um big heavy glass insert. So, you know, it's not just a gentle, you know, shutting of a door. It's a slam. And so when you walk out of the bathroom, you have to walk past that door to get back to the office, and you'll look and the door is open. There is no door that's been slammed, no door that's been shut. No one is in the men's restroom because you can see right into it. So, who knows? Could be one of our uh friendly resident ghosts just letting us know that they're here. Uh could be someone passing through. And it's just, you know, one of those things that happens when you're in a building that's 140 years old. So, the next time you're here with us, maybe you'll hear our ghost friends slam the bathroom door for you, too.
